Unemployment Experience Rating Notices – Missouri And Kansas

By MarksNelson on November 18, 2013 in Articles, State & Local Tax, Tax

The State of Kansas mailed its 2014 Experience Rating Notices to employers on November 8, 2013.  Missouri is scheduled to mail their version to Missouri employers on November 15, 2013.  Why does this matter?  Because both states allow you the opportunity to “buy down” your experience rating and (potentially) save some tax dollars.  But you must respond within 30 days of the notices to take advantage of the opportunity.

We can analyze your notice and provide a report showing both the payback period and rate of return/return on investment for buying down your experience rating.  If that interests you, please call our State and Local Tax group at 816-743-7700.
