MarksNelson LLC accounting and consulting firm hires Human Resources Manager in an effort to boost the firm’s focus on growth. De Ann M. Demo joins the firm, bringing over 25 years of progressive experience in the HR industry to MarksNelson.

At MarksNelson, Demo will manage employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor and employment laws. She will also lead MarksNelson’s mentoring program, facilitate training and development programs and focus on recruiting and the implementation of a strategic recruitment plan.

Demo’s background includes experience with a diverse group of employers. She was formerly the associate director of human resources at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for several years. Demo also held HR management positions at Dex One, where she helped lead the company through several acquisitions, as well as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Demo is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
