MarksNelson accounting and consulting firm announces five new team members.
Beth Van Leeuwen, CPA, returns to the firm as a manager in the Tax Department. She worked for MarksNelson from 2013-2015 before taking a position at MTC Holding Corporation. Van Leeuwen specializes in helping clients in the manufacturing and distribution industry with tax planning, research, and compliance to minimize their tax liabilities.
Rachel Bertelsmeier joins MarksNelson as a manager in the Specialty Services Department. At the firm, she will specialize in insurance taxation and work with producer-owned reinsurance companies. Previously, Bertelsmeier worked as a Tax Manager for several companies including Deloitte and RSM McGladrey.
Austin Gress, CPA, rejoins MarksNelson as a senior staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Gress holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
Shelby Domann accepted a position as a staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department after completing an internship with the firm. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University.
Andrew Newkirk is a new staff accountant working in both the Assurance and Business Advisory Department as well as the Enterprise Resource Solutions team. He recently completed an internship at the firm and received a degree in Accounting from University of Missouri – Kansas City.
