KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 4, 2016) – Mark Radetic, CPA, CGMA, managing partner at Kansas City accounting firm MarksNelson LLC, has received the “Outstanding Visionary” award from the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. The honor which is part of the MSCPA’s Impact Awards Program recognizes CPAs who go above and beyond to make a difference in the industry and the community.

MarksNelson is made up of exceptional people who are not only committed to our clients, but to each other and the community as well,” Radetic said. “The strategic planning work we’ve done together over the past 5 years is akin to building a championship team. Our consecutive years of growth and our national award for partner equity are just the beginning.”
This is the fourth top designation for Radetic in the last two years. In 2015 the Leading Edge Alliance presented him with the “Innovative Firm Leader” award. He also received the Kansas Society of CPAs “Men Who Get It” award for his involvement in supporting women’s advancements in the industry. In 2014, Accounting Today named him among the prestigious class of national MP Elites for his innovative leadership style.
Since becoming Managing Partner in 2009, under Radetic’s guidance, MarksNelson has grown in size and expanded the suite of services for clients, established new programs for investing in and attracting top talent, as well as developed a new strategic plan for future growth.
“Mark’s leadership style is that of consensus building and facilitation. He also carries a considerable client load and uses the same collaborative approach when advising his clients,” said member Angie McElhaney.
Radetic joined MarksNelson as a member in 2003 and focuses on providing assurance services, business planning and advisory, and succession planning for clients in the automotive, construction, and physician-related industries.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Benedictine College. Mark is a member of the Missouri Society of CPA’s Board of Directors and on the organization’s Educational Foundation Task Force. He’s active in the Kansas City community through his board positions at the Catholic Education Foundation and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Radetic also serves as Treasurer for both the Mayor and a City Councilman of Overland Park, Kansas.
