MarksNelson was honored by The Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) for its Wrapped in Warmth Program. The firm was presented with the 2017 Edge Community Service Initiative award during a ceremony in Denver, Colorado last month.
“This firm made a conscious decision two years ago to establish kindness as a core value in its culture and community outreach, and it has simultaneously embedded creativity and strong branding into its efforts,” said the LEA Community Service Award presenter.
Wrapped in Warmth is part of the firm’s award-winning Marks of Kindness Program, and was created in 2016 to help Kansas City’s homeless during the holiday season. Last year, MarksNelson employees hung more than 400 scarves, hats, and gloves on trees or wrapped them around light poles at locations near Crown Center and the Downtown KCMO Library Branch.
The goal for 2017 is to double the firm’s impact.
