When President Obama announced that he would normalize relations with Cuba after 50 years, it was huge news on a global scale.  Kevin Kennedy, manager of MarksNelson’s State and Local Tax practice, just happened to be in Cuba when the announcement was made. He and his wife received a cultural exchange visa to go watch the Kansas City Kansas Community College Jazz Band play at an event in the Cuban capital of Havana.
