MarksNelson accounting and consulting firm is pleased to announce that partner, Angie McElhaney, CPA, CCIFP, was recognized as a member of the 2016 Women Who Mean Business class from the Kansas City Business Journal.
The program identifies outstanding business leaders in the Kansas City area. Honorees were selected from more than 140 applicants. Judges considered past accomplishments, plans for company growth, and community involvement.
This is McElhaney’s second professional achievement in the last year. In November of 2015, the Missouri Society of Public Accountants (MSCPA) presented her with the “Women to Watch” award for achievements in the accounting profession, the community, as well as her mentoring and leadership skills.
McElhaney joined MarksNelson in 2003 and named as a partner in 2010. She’s currently a member of the firm’s three-member executive committee and serves as the Chair of the Assurance and Business Advisory practice. She specializes in working with clients in a variety of industries that are traditionally male-dominated, such as construction companies and auto dealerships.
