Kansas City accounting and consulting firm MarksNelson LLC is pleased to announce that Partner Josh Beck, EDFP will serve a one-year term on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Chapter of CoreNet Global. CoreNet Global is an industry-leading association for corporate real estate and workplace professionals, service providers, and economic developers.
Beck will bring a wealth of experience to the board. At MarksNelson, he specializes in location strategy, site selection, incentives, and economic development counsel for companies and communities of all sizes. As a member of the Communications Committee, Beck will work with the board to identify, develop, and execute the communication plan for CoreNet Global locally, as well as help increase brand awareness and update members on benefits and upcoming programs.

Beck received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business and Leadership studies from Westminster College and is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional. He has worked on location strategy initiatives with companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 100, helped real estate developers identify and structure profitable projects, and guided communities throughout the U.S. to develop and implement effective economic development strategies. Previously, Beck served on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Economic Development Council, the Marketing Implementation Team for the Missouri Strategic Initiative for Economic Growth, and on the Missouri Certified Shove-Ready Sites Review Committee.
