Brandi DiGiorgio Specializes in Assurance and Business Consulting, Leads Firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Niche Team

KSCPA Board of Directors are nominated by a committee composed of past chairs and the current the Executive Committee, and elected by the members at the annual business meeting, governed by the KSCPA. DiGiorgio is one of five new members appointed to the Board for 2015.
Responsibilities of board members include selecting a strategic initiative task force on which to serve and participating in quarterly calls, which help guide the initiative for the upcoming year. Other duties may include outside work such as promoting the initiative, creating talking points and speaking at special events. Strategic initiatives for the 2015 fiscal year are Promotion of the CPA Brand, Membership Engagement & Growth and Advocacy and Professional Development, in which DiGiorgio will serve. Twenty members serve on the current Board of Directors cabinet.
The KSCPA provides its members representation at the Kansas Statehouse and on the Council of the American Institute of CPAs, and builds relationships with advocates at the IRS and Kansas Department of Revenue. The organization also sponsors young professional events and professional development programs to help members meet requirements for maintaining a permit for practice in Kansas, among other services.
As Manager at MarksNelson, DiGiorgio leads the manufacturing and distribution niche team, and specializes in providing assurance and business consulting services to companies in those industries. She also specializes in employee benefit plans. DiGiorgio has been with MarksNelson since 2004 and has served in her manager role for almost eight years.
