David Kaseff Specializes in Tax and Legal Matters for the Auto Dealer Industry and Producer-Owned Reinsurance Companies
David Kaseff, an attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and CFO at MarksNelson, will serve as moderator for a panel dedicated to controlled foreign corporations (CFCs) at the upcoming P&A Leadership Summit May 21-24 in Las Vegas.
“The IRS has taken a significant interest in the taxation of insurance companies over the years. Of particular interest to them has been the taxation of captive insurance companies and how they are being utilized,” Kaseff said. “Now, with the additional authority for them to gather information and the notion of ‘transparency’ becoming the new norm in tax compliance, taxpayers are being required to disclose more and more under this new regulatory regime.”
The panel, “CFCs: Changes, Threats, and the Regulatory Horizon” is part of the fifth annual Reinsurance Symposium. Kaseff will be joined by speakers Zack Matta, National Auto Care’s vice president of corporate strategy, Matt Gibson, vice president of reinsurance sales for Protective Asset Protection, Bill Bigley, SouthwestRe’s CFO, and Rhonda Pinkerton, compliance director for The Tribal Domicile.
The P&A Leadership Summit is designed specifically for finance and insurance (F&I) administrators, senior managers and those involved in the administration of F&I products. The conference will focus on high-level issues facing the auto finance industry today, and highlight the roots of F&I products. The Summit is a joint production between P&A magazine and F&I and Showroom magazine.
