This month, the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) issued the special-purpose financial reporting framework for small and medium sized entities. The Financial Reporting Framework (FRF) is intended to provide Small- and Medium-Sized Entities (SMEs) reprieve from what some view as overly complex and burdensome U.S. GAAP accounting rules.
