AAM, MarksNelson Recognized for Community Service Commitment, June 20, 2017.
Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to our communities is a driving force among the growing Association for Accounting Marketing’s membership, a trend that shows no sign of slowing down. So, to honor the firms that go above and beyond in their corporate philanthropic efforts, the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) presents the “We AAM to Serve” Award to salute the corporate social responsibility philosophy of firms that go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.
Our judges were blown away at the level of community involvement this year’s winners have shown,” said Rebecca Weiand, practice growth coordinator with Rea & Associates and co-chair of the We AAM to Serve awards committee. “Not only were we impressed with how many hours were donated to their community service initiatives, we were inspired by the various ways they were able to give back. Although fundraising continues to be a noble action, corporate philanthropy has evolved far beyond simply cutting a check. Our members are doing things like sewing pillow cases for sick kids, cleaning up the grounds of a summer camp for children with severe disabilities and illnesses and preparing plates of food at a local soup kitchen. They are in the trenches and they are committed to making our world a better place for everybody.”
