MarksNelson employees dressed down for the day to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. On Friday, September 8, 2017, the firm held a “Pay to Play” day benefiting the Houston Food Bank in Houston, Texas. For a $5.00 donation staff members could wear their favorite T-shirt, sweatshirt or hat featuring their favorite sports team. In all, the firm collected $2,500 for the food bank.
Earlier in the week employees also supported a supply drive organized by Rodrock Association. Staff members brought in baby wipes, diapers, personal hygiene items, dog and cat food, bottled water, and gift cards. All of the items collected helped fill a semi-truck which Rodrock sent down to Texas for relief organizations.
Both the supply drive and the “Pay to Play” fundraiser are part of the firm’s Marks of Kindness program. We believe it is our privilege to make a positive difference in the communities we serve by donating our experience, expertise, time and resources.
